the
Business model buffet
Every business has a model- a way of creating and delivering value to clients. Funnily enough, this foundational part of running a business is often glossed over or assumed (or handed over a variety of gurus who want to sell your their blueprint for guaranteed success...)
The truth is there are many different models that can be applied to any one service and there is no one-size-fits-all approach that works across the board.
In this course, learn about a variety of models that can be applied to service-based business offerings and get a chance to brainstorm what you want to try out based on your particular strengths and interests.

ADDING ON OFFERINGS AND SERVICES TO MAKE ENDS MEET AND FINDING THAT YOU HAVE NOW DOUBLED OR TRIPLED YOUR WORK.

FRANKENSTEIN-ING YOUR BUSINESS BY ADDING A NEW OFFER, OR CUSTOMIZING EVERY SERVICE, IN AN ATTEMPT TO PLEASE EVERYONE.

DISCOVERING THAT YOUR CLIENTS DON'T KNOW HOW TO DESCRIBE YOUR EXPERTISE, WHICH LEADS TO A LOSS OF REFERRAL MOMENTUM.

TRYING OUT A FEW NEW MODELS (ONLINE COURSES, MEMBERSHIP GROUPS, ETC) AND DISCOVERING THAT THEY AREN'T A GREAT FIT FOR YOU OR YOUR CLIENTS.

FEELING LIKE YOUR BUSINESS HAS BECOME A MESS OF TOO MANY UNFOCUSED WAYS OF DELIVERING YOUR WORK AND YOU JUST WANT TO SIMPLIFY EVERYTHING.
that's why i created this course.
My gift and my curse is that I have constant new ideas. Call it the curse of the entrepreneur- I love to make things and learn about new ways of delivering service-based work.
Because of that, I have run a private manual therapy practice (in 3 states over 22 years), 3 podcasts, 2 paid membership community groups, and countless online and in-person courses. I am a maker of things.
While I do genuinely find that to be a blast, I have also learned so much in the wilds of the 21st century economy about how we can structure offerings that take good care of ourselves and our clients, that don't turn into a horrible Frankenstein monster, and that don't blindly follow the hype about the whatever the latest trendy business model is that promises "instant" results.
If you are someone who is trying to think through how to change the way you deliver your services, or if you are feeling fatigued by your current business model, this course is an opportunity to get a topographic view of all the best options.
what is covered
The creator economy has confused things a bit- to the point that we can easily lose track of what a business model is, and instead wind up just being busy doing things that don't support your work.
Not all models are alike- some are easier lifts and some are much heavier lifts. And that can change depending on who you are and what your strengths and interests are.
We look at the private practice model. Just because you already know what this model is doesn't mean you should disregard it- it's been around for thousands of years for a reason!
For certain service providers, seeing multiple clients at the same time for a group session can work well.
We go through what you have to consider if you are contemplating opening up your own studio or center of any kind.
Whether online or in-person, we will discuss how to think through creating a signature course (or courses) out of your unique intellectual property.
If you love hosting people, creating meaningful experiences for people through retreats or events can be an interesting option.
Subscriptions are any service people pay to receive on an ongoing and recurring basis. In the individualized model, the service they are paying to receive is still tailored to them individually in some way.
Like in the previous lesson, this option is also something people pay for on an ongoing and recurring basis. However in this case, what they receive is the same thing every other subscriber receives.
Now that you have learned about the business models that are best suited to service-providing businesses, we discuss some of the creative ways they can pair up for a hybrid offer.
After visiting the "buffet", this lesson guides you through the workbook to think through how you might structure your offering.

What clients say
Brooke is someone I trust deeply, both as a practitioner and as an ethical business person in the Healing Arts space. Her commitment to integrity in her business, and how she markets it/makes it available to the world is one of the values that makes her a great fit for practitioners committed to offering services of real value to others.
What clients say
I thought all I needed was a new website. But, thanks to Brooke, I gained clarity and focus for my whole business model. Already, the investment has proven profitable.
What clients say
I feel so relieved, like four years of internal dialogue is quieted. The work wasn’t easy, at times it felt excruciatingly vulnerable to say out loud “I want my business to look like this” but it’s been entirely worth it. The pace felt doable and I was able to integrate the work into my daily life without it feeling like it was one more thing on my already full plate. Brooke was clear and supportive throughout, providing valuable insight and clarity where I needed it. Her work has integrity and I never, not once, felt like I had to use ick marketing techniques to fit into a role that doesn’t suit me.
What clients say
As a small healing arts business owner, it is so easy when very busy with clients to not focus on the aspects I find less interesting, like budgets, promotion and planning - yet these are all vital to staying physically and fiscally vibrant. I now have a clear path for putting all this wonderful wisdom into practice.

this is not for:
This course is asynchronous- meaning that it is recorded and available for you to go through it at your own pace.
This course is also completely digital so you can access it from anywhere through our private course portal. You can complete the course lessons from the comfort of your couch or kitchen table, as long as you have an Internet connection.
I do include a private podcast q&a feed as an asynchronous coach-in-your-pocket resource. If you have a question- just ask! You'll see if pop up on the podcast in a week or two on a Monday. All episodes address one question each, making it an easy to navigate resource.
The honest answer is, it depends on you and your current situation. Most people are able to go through the course material in 2 to 4 weeks.
Others might take a few extra months to slowly digest the information before experimenting with their business model or launching a new offering.
There is no rush and no right or wrong amount of time, because you have lifetime access to the program (for the lifetime of the course itself).
Remember, this isn't a magic bullet course. For most people experimenting to find a business model that strikes the right balance takes some time and a few iterations of their original idea. I know that has been true for me and every other entrepreneur I know.
Because of the nature of digital courses and the fact that you get instant access to all of the course materials and downloads, I do not offer refunds.
Payment plans are offered for bundles of courses. See below.
Check your email for your registration confirmation. You will then use your login details to go to the class platform, where you will have access to all the lessons.
Nope! This is not a get rich quick, or a get rich slow course. Wealth accumulation - or promises of big paydays- are not a part of this course. And, as with anything, information alone doesn't accomplish much. So there are no guaranteed results that come with the course. People's results will depend on if they put the course material into practice, and how consistent they are able to be with it.
